What sets my events apart from others?

MSc Contemporary Creative Psychotherapy postgraduate student

There are only two universities in the UK offering training in the arts outside of the clinical art therapy models. This course represents a unique and expanding field of practice and research that blends movement, visual art, drama, storytelling and music to extend and revitalise conventional talking therapies.

I have completed the first year of this training and am about to begin my second year. The programme emphasises embodied, creative and relational methods that help people access emotion, memory and meaning in ways that speech alone can’t always reach. Practices include guided movement, improvisation, image-making, narrative exercises and soundwork, integrated with reflective clinical thinking and ethical practice.

You might find coaches who market a similar mix of creative tools as a branded “signature” approach. What distinguishes my training and practice is the rigour and depth of this university-level programme combined with my background in counselling and psychotherapy. This ensures the work is supported by theoretical frameworks, ethical safeguards and supervised clinical development, not just a collection of techniques. In short, you get creative, embodied methods grounded in established training and professional practice—so the experience is both nourishing and responsibly delivered.

Research-based mythology

I weave contemporary art‑based approaches into therapeutic practice, drawing on mythology and folklore to create work that is both experimental and grounded. My practice combines creative methods—visual art‑making, movement, narrative and ritual—with evidence‑informed psychotherapy to bring ancient healing traditions into present‑day contexts. This approach honours cultural forms of relating and spiritual dimensions while centring client agency: you are held in a contained therapeutic space and invited to learn and explore personal stories through embodied and symbolic practices.

While completing my own intuitive academic research, I uniquely offer this integrated approach in therapy. Sessions can include guided creative processes, somatic exploration, and storytelling practices designed to externalise inner material, shape meaning, and cultivate new ways of relating to self and others. The therapeutic container prioritises safety, consent and collaboration; you set the pace and focus, and we adapt methods to your needs, background and values.

Genuine Therapeutic Community

From hands‑on experience to personalised care — every detail reflects real concern. I blend practical insight with tailored therapy: short‑term help, long‑term therapy, or ancestral coaching, all centred on you. Sessions use evidence‑based methods and a compassionate presence to build clarity, safety, and progress.

What types of services can I get from this?

An experienced therapist with a vast amount of compassion and study to match. You can gain real value from a practitioner whose approach is rooted in evidence-based methods honed over years of supervised practice.

Therapy that helps begins with clinical training and continues through reflective supervision, ongoing professional development and careful application of proven techniques. This ensures interventions are safe, ethical and tailored to your needs. A therapist with sustained experience draws on multiple modalities—such as integrative psychotherapy, trauma-informed care, attachment-focused work and embodied arts.

Compassion matters. A clinician who brings warmth, attunement and non-judgement creates a secure environment in which you can explore difficult feelings, patterns and events. When compassion is combined with rigorous assessment and theory-informed practice, the work becomes both supportive and effective: you feel heard and also guided toward meaningful change.

Supervision is a crucial safeguard. Regular case review with senior clinicians helps ensure appropriate formulation, ethical decision-making and responsiveness to complexity. It reduces blind spots and strengthens treatment choices, so you receive
